Week 25 (26)

We did some little shopping for our little one..

We went to Baby Hyperstore at Ubi to look around, thinking we are able to find some good prams at good price but actually, the prices are actually comparable to those in Kiddy Palace, John Little etc...

Unless you are really looking at those with never-hear-before brands where you can get it at about $100.. Or older models of Combi from Baby Kingdom (beside the Baby Hyperstore)

Even those baby clothes, milk bottles, breast pumps are all similar prices as those in stores.. Not too sure if you can bargain but I dont think the price would be able to be much of a difference..

If you have those Robinson, John Little, Isetan cards, you might still be able to save a little bit due to those rebates..

Anyway, Hubby went over to Kiddy Palace TPY to get the pram as not many outlets have the stock anymore as it's been on sale for quite some time already.. We saw this Capella

Capella S-217 pram at Baby Kingdom,selling at $219.. We bought it at $186 after discount.
Thought it was quite a good buy because we kinda like the design and the green colour... Its those bright lime green, One button fold and it's about 5.2kg.. It's for newborns to about 3 yrs old toddlers..

~~New Year...2011~ (22 weeks)

Its already Jan 2011, time flies real fast.. Overall, Im still enjoying every moment of my pregnancy..Even now I feel BB is moving around..

1st of Jan is the very first day where I felt the baby moving while the girls are at my place counting down... I wasnt sure at that point of time until I did some research.. It feels like bubbles popping in your tummy, light movements that makes you wonder if its really moving..

The best part of the year is when I woke up with leg cramps... duhz.. Leg cramps during pregnancy is like happening almost every night, disturbing your sleep. Books says that eating calcium supplements helps but it sure doesnt work for me because I take it every day.. What helps was that sleeping with a hard pillow under your ankle (it doesnt matter if you kick it off when you sleep)

My checkup was scheduled on the 7th Jan (Fri) and its confirm a baby girl on the way.. =)
She made me go back to the sonographer 2 times to scan for her gender on the same..because her legs were closed. And even during the 2nd scan, the sonographer was like: "oh no, her legs are closing again" and she still managed to scan her fender before her legs closed.. haha..

My wrist is hurting alot now. Hubby said its Carpal Tunnel Syndrome..went to check up and apparently, most pregnant women will get it because of the water retention. There's no cure for it at all, but for most mothers, it will be gone after they give birth.. abit the suay lor.. This type of thing will affect my daily work because I need to use the computer alot. Now, lifting the kettle of water will hurt as well..

Im in love.... with Starbucks Hot Chocolate!!! Yummyz!!

I will add it with caramel..but if my colleague, Kathy, buy for me, she dont let me put caramel...because its too sweet. But its true, the hot choc is already very sweet... adding caramel makes it even sweeter.. but i like the caramel taste..not for the sweetness...Now i feel like drinking it.. *drools*

Soon, my world would be full of crying, diapers, milk, baby books, crying and more crying.. but I think its something that most Woman would have to go through in order to have a "family". I'm stressed and yet happy at the same time.

~~Change of Interest~~

Wow..Its been a while since I used my computer to update this space.. Anyway, I dont think I have much to blog about too, thats why I cant be bothered to log in to type those super long post or upload any pics..

Recent updates:

Moved into our place (FINALLY) on the 3rd Nov..
The little one is already about 15 weeks..and next Saturday, we are able to know if its a boy or girl..

Went for the blood sugar test together with the down syndrome blood test and routine checks on the 27th oct, Wednesday..

Bb was practically jumping and moving and fidgeting around... Even the sonographer was telling us that our bb is very active... It was too waving it's hands up and down, just like mummy when she gets excited.. Lol

Nxt scan would be on 7th dec and that would include a detailed scan, and we will know on that day if it's a boy or a girl.. can't wait! =)

Hehe... Went for another scan today and Daddy recognized it's head immediately.. We saw it's head, brain and growing limbs!!!

It was dancing around then it stopped..it was either shy or tired. Ha!!

Now I've got extra 3 supplements to eat every morning... Sure being a parent is one of life biggest expense!

~~Sick~~

I HATE BEING SICK!!!

Being sick means:

I cant eat the food i love (just happen to be all are heaty food)
I can only lie on my bed and daze or using my lappie on my bed..
Wrapped up in my blanket, shivering and breaking into cold sweat
Feeling sooo uncomfortable that I feel so irritable = BAD MOOD

The rain is soo noisy and Im feeling very cold.. I cant sleep lo.. This is the 2nd time in the month that I fell sick. How strong I am huh!

Low low immunity and I think I need to do something about it..

It's affecting me a little to see so many people wanting to leave and had left. It's like you've already became friends with them instead of colleagues.

All of us deep inside would know what is wrong but most of us choose not to bother, some decided to leave for good, those who left had left for the better, opportunities, career, growth or whatever you can think of.

Negative thoughts have been in me lately too but am trying to get rid of it. The outside world is sometimes too tempting to resist....

Seriously, this whole thing is getting a little serious and it's time for them to do something about it.. But did they even realise that there is a problem? This is a question... We'll see, time can tell.. But it be too late then??

I love this place! The deco and feel is definitely different from all weddings I've went. The lightings are blue, the decorations are like those Icy cold feel. I felt like I was in a Fairy Tale Ice Castle. LOVE IT!! Even her picture montage was FANTASTIC!

~~Happiness after Mistakes~~

Few things happened lately at work that affected me quite abit.

Some misunderstandings, some good intentions that got back fired.

Somehow, what shocked me were the things I found out that led to such stuffs. Its disheartening but i guess that how working life is like. Everyone for sure would have been back stabbed by others before, but I still consider myself lucky because I have colleagues and bosses who believed in me, and clear things up for me.

Even my client was an understanding one..

Went to our nest to take some measurements so that we can plan on how to design the place. Not much things to do actually because we want it simple and most importantly, we need more storage spaces.

Later tonight, I'll be attending MeiXi's wedding. Pictures would be up if i can find my camera charger..ha!

Meixi is my secondary school friend, we got close during band days, and closer during TP Rotractors days, where she got me to join a club which I still had no idea what it helped me in, but one thing for sure is that with her company of joining events during poly were more than FUN!!!

Just miss school days...time flies, I'm married, so is she. She's with her long time beau that was from our Sec School too. Sooo happy for them, really.

~~The Next Move~~

Went for medical check up on Wed that is subsidized by SP. Its just a general check up whereby they will take your urine, stools, blood for test and gives you the results like weeks later.

Hubby was stuck at the blood pressure testing because his arm was too big for the cuff. Every time it expands, the Velcro snapped open and he needed to re-take it 3 times.. I was laughing at him and proceed on to the next station - blood drawing.

I was stuck at there: I went to this nurse and she told me to go to a phlebotomist because she could not find my veins on both hands.

The phlebotomist then did the same thing, tied both arms but could not feel anything, so I told her that previously, my blood was taken from my wrist area. After "feeling" for my veins, she then poke the needle in, no blood, she poked it deeper, still no blood. She then pull it in and out 3 times and STILL NO BLOOD!!! That was really painful lo!

Then she said that my knuckles have a very distinct vein, so she poked the needle in there, promising that it wont be as deep as my wrist. She poked the needle and ALSO NO BLOOD!!! I almost wanted to faint because I knew it needs to be poked deeper to have blood and I was already unconsciously squeezing the stress ball, that was given to me earlier, really hard.

After a deeper push, FINALLY got blood la!! I feel so relieved and she felt so happy. Actually, its not her fault la, she's not the first that couldn't find my veins..

Here is my poor "poked" hands and now there are 2 huge blue blacks.. -_-""

The food was not bad, Ambiance was good. A good place to go with your love ones.

We really need to thank Alvin for his hard work and not charging us any commission! He guided us step by step on what to do and even took initiatives like preparing the documents needed after he knows that we wanted the place.

He told us prepare the cheque for deposit to show sincerity that we are really interested in the place. Other buyers already offered 25k or 28k but were not closed. He asked the seller's agent if he can close at 30k. The agent said if its 30k, there's 80% chance, if 32k, there's 90%.

Knowing that we were already prepared to pay 30k, Alvin prepared the documents and gave the cheque to the agent. As the owner wasn't there, the agent would need some time.

So we left not knowing if we are able to get the place. We went over to meet the gang at Tanglin Mall and then Alvin called. He told Hubby that there is a good news and a bad news:

The bad news is that I wrote the name on the cheque wrongly -_-"

The good news is that the owner agreed to let go at COV of 30k =)

Next step: the bank loan....since our Housing Loan Eligibility got rejected.

Hubby made prata for breakfast for me and his family and he FORCED me to take pictures of his effort..so entertain him la hor... here goes...

~~New Toys~~

Hubby got an IPhone for me..plus I got a FUCHSIA cover for myself. Somewhat similar..

I eyed this FUCHSIA casing before I even bought the phone..hehehe..

Went to Harvey Norman Warehouse Sale at EMC, Joo Koon and bought myself an ASUS UL20A lappie..Its a Notebook in a Netbook size!

I've got it for $898 for 2 years warranty from ASUS plus another 2 years from Harvey Norman. They added a Targus backpack (which hubby SNATCHED it from me), an extra mouse (the laptop itself already comes with a mouse) plus an Imation DVD writer - Good Deal huh!

I kinda support Extended Warranty because usually laptop can last the number of years manufacturers give, but after that, things might go wrong (BAD EXPERIENCE WITH MY STUPID VAIO!!! but I bought Extended Warranty too)

Silver is the only colour, planning to GMask it but wondering if I should spend the money...but anyway, How can I not beautify internally???
No *BLINGS* la, only my wall paper. Its Stitch with Hubby's favourite ducklings..LOL..

Am watching The Proposal now. Quite nice and sweet..

~~Hopeless~~

Suppose to go HDB today but Hubby called and they said that we can just do the appeal online. but got to go out anyway.

Hubby took my lap top back from Sim Lim, but after I tried to on it, it blacked out within 10 mins! WTFFFFF!!!!

Stupid, I SWEAR i will NEVER buy VIAO stuffs anymore! This lap top has been giving my lots and lots of probs since I got it 3 years ago, just for the sake of bringing it over to Aussie for my studies. Clever now, looking for something better and more stable, and not giving me BLUE-SCREEN in Melbourne after installing a webcam from Logitek (Think that's the brand).

Another major prob for this lap top is that I cant use it on my lap! Its soooooooo hot that I somehow worry that smoke will appear (Im not joking!!) Horrible la...

Some of the already-installed programs in my lappie clashes with Vista! DUHZ...
My sis got a vaio net book too, and guess what, it hanged just after few uses. Haiz..pretty but disappointing. And its not cheap as compared to other electronics stuffs, we also expect the quality too right when we pay for something at the higher end.

Its lucky that I bought the Harvey Norman Extended Warranty, but its either the VIAO is totally hopeless or that HN Extended Warranty is useless in repairing.. I don't know. Cant tell. Heck la! Im getting either Toshiba, Fujitsu or Asus for my next lappie.

~~Sadness + Happiness~~

Lately, things happened around me.

Jace left us, I only knew on the day she didnt come. I didn't even know that that day was the last day with her being colleagues. She is the 4th person who left ever since I stepped in. Felt a little down and was kinda affected by the news because without for her, training wont be that fun.. but what saddens me most was the legal issue.

Really, no one is indispensable..

Today, my ex-colleague called me, asking me to help him find a job. He quarreled with his colleague of years..she spoke hurtful words, they stopped talking. He cried when he told me about it.

Imagine someone who's always been so happy-go-lucky can cry because of what 1 said to him. He felt cheated and hurt. People change everyday. I felt like crying when I hear him cry. I really want to help him but I really dont know how..

I'm going to close a deal on Monday. Candidate accepted the offer, HR trying to work out a package for her. It wasnt in my projection, just came unexpectedly. I totally forgot that she went for interview.

Another candidate went for 2nd round without telling me. Was arranged by the hiring manager directly. I only got to know when the HR emailed me. The candidate didnt lie either. I'm ok with this, as long as they dont hire the candidate directly and offer them without us knowing or intentionally not letting us know about it.

Yesterday, Hubby and I went back to have reunion lunch at my place, but we had to rush to Changi Point Ferry Terminal to catch a bump boat to Pegarang, Malaysia, to visit his Grandpa at Si Wan Island.

We waited from 2 plus till about 5 then have seats!!! Irritated liao...

The whole boat ride was HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! No, i did not have sea sickness, but the weather was soooo hot that we were drenched with perspiration and sea water -_-""

Anyway, thank goodness we reached in an hour and Pa and Slyvia (Sis-in-law) came to the ferry terminal to pick us up. We blasted the air con in the seats behind. That felt like heaven! LOL

We had dinner there and kids were playing with fire works, as in literally fire works!!! Those that you only can see during festive seasons in SG??? They play these in their hometowns! As I grew older, i began to be afraid of such things already. Don't know why, so I just watch them play. Haa..

After dinner, we were on our way back home, the whole journey was alright, and along the way, as the clock hits 12am, fire works starts again around the whole neighborhood. I've never seen so much fireworks in my life before, it indeed was a beautiful sight...

~~Fucking hate to be SICK!!~~

(But with mummy's care, its not so bad after)

Am on MC today, all because of the stupid fever I had last night.

Had to see a doc for my sorethoat..Its keeps making me cough and hurting my throat even more..
Horrible flu that made me sneeze non-stop and mucus flowing continously..*disgusted*
He then prescribed me with tons of tables..

Plus a not-so-yucky-tasting cough syrup (thats lucky of me..)
But all of the meds couldnt compare to the love and care that mummy have given me..hehe..its priceless!!

This whole sick thingy is eating up my precious time at work!! Time = $$$ lei!!!

Luckily the system in my company allows each other to access to anyone's data, so arranging interviews at home is stil not that difficult, as long as you have the phone number. Just that you might have to disturb a few colleagues to get the number for you so that you can call. hehe..

Got to rest soon, the meds that the doc gave me make me a little drowsy and I feel like Im floating already..TA!

Sotong is now in India for a course, so I'm all alone for 2 weeks..How bored is that? Sigh..

Anyway, lately, I'm super happy la! Good things always come after the bad..

Ever since i've changed my job, I'm in contact with a few lecturers from poly are really willing to help me out.

It all happened when Mr Tan Keng Beng called my home to ask me to do a survey for TP alumnis. I also told him about my job and asked if he had any freshies to intro, as my clients needs them. He told me to send an email to him, and I did. He then help me spread the word around and guess who called me up at my office? Petrina Lim! yes, Our used-to-be Mrs C.

After talking for a while, she actually remembered me! Wahaha, its really nice la, because I was in the Food Science stream. I do not have alot of modules with her as hers is usually the Nutrition stream. Its such a small world when she sent me a resume of the gal whos looking for a job is my sec school band junior!!! so qiao la!

Another lecturer who's really helping me is Mdm Lau. I called her up and told her my job, she actually helped me post my job description in Facebook!! So swweet...

Really miss TP days too!! Its just so much fun..

We have moved our office from Outram to Tanjong Pagar today. Officially starting work in our new office on Monday. In fact, I just came back from office, we went to unpack our stuffs onto our new work space. I LOVE my new office la!! Its sooo big and spacious. All of us are located to our seats based on our birthdates (its those fengshui thingy)..and there are many things to see during our free time at lunch.

But at least the other food like the pasta, sausages and fish is still ok. I dont think i will ever go back there again, or rather I will not suggest that place again. Heard that Hooters buffalo wings is nice, will go there are try one day..hehe

We went to Carrefour yesterday to get some Xmas Deco for our party..

Many many things..We've got:

Some shiny silver beads and glitter ribbons..

and more balls...heheand of course, our Xmas tree!!

The tree was quite cheap, plus we got to know the supplier that supplies to Carrefour, and so, we went to his shop at Arab St to buy the balls and got discounts!!! How nice!Here is Sotong doing up the tree by expanding the leaves, the pictures seems quite blurry as it was taken at night by my HP, but who cares?? the main attention is the tree...
Yup, its done and standing at 2.1m tall outside Sotong's balcony.. We did the decorations at about 12am this morning and the pictures didnt turn out nice, so I took it again in the day.. =)

Finally, we had our photoshoot done and over with. Quite a fun process but tiring. We are quite suay la, we had to shoot for 2 days before its completed. Why? Because it rained on our 1st session, which is on monday. We postponed the outdoor shoot to today, in the morning-afternoon session, and luckily, the sky was good the whole day! Hot la, was really perspiring man. Our locations:

Yea, a number of locations but each shot wasn't long. Hee.. Just hope that the pics do turn out well.

Anyway, after the shoot, my HTB and me went over to Vivo city for some food, hungry after the half day shooting. Went to Daiso and bought some stuffs:

Went to AMK yesterday with HQ to do our manicure..Its the first time in my life doing manicure (yes, SK i know..), and its done perfectly by Fiona's Nail Haven

I always thought that French looks very classy and elegant, very versatile too, it just goes with anything! The glitter stripes make it look more obvious plus some blings..Look at how sweet these flowers are? Its made petals by petals, not by mould!

Just a few quick updates plus PICTURES:

1. Yes, Fred..as requested, he's now our official Ah Mat for our big day..I'll make sure his car would be decorated on the day before, so that he can drive his car proudly to work haa..=)

2. Have already decided on my gowns..nice service i can say, just that some of the staffs have weirdo tastes..like me wearing a gown which all agree that I look like a ma-ma-san, but she suddenly say: oh! very nice! very elegant!

3. Have dyed my hair today at Sandstorm by Monsoon.. expensive la!!!heart pain.. but at least it turn out ok..not too bad la.. just dyed a darker colour so that my previous highlights are covered, the person recommended the colour so that during photo taking, the colour wont be too bright till it outstands weirdly..

It looks black here, but its actually dark reddish brown..

4. Went to try our ring this Wed @ Love & Co before it was sent for engraving. The lady, Evelyn Quah, who served us is very good, love their service there..when they say they will get back to you, they really will. And also, she asked if we are interested in taking some shots for Love & Co, while writing some wishes for their 3rd year anniversary. Our pictures would be online together with our wishes. We did and here's what we got as a token of appreciation.

~~Some Decisions~~

Yup, Sotong and I have decided on the location for our ROM. Its the FUSHIA area..hehe.. The number of pax has increase from 40+ to almost double, thats because that place can accommodate up to 100+ pax. We gonna take 2 levels, 2nd and 3rd. We've got pics but I dont wanna put it up first is lazy, second is to keep the suspense. haa..

Next Sunday (11 0ct 2009) is our gown fitting, cant wait la!! excited =)

~~Updates~~

Yesterday (26 Sept 09)

Went to an ex colleagues' house warming at JW. They bought a 4-room flat for 337k, the location is quite near MRT. Quite big lei. Then after, we went to Hazel's ROM cum housewarming at Queenstown. I love her place, so big and nice.. She always have nice taste for decos, except her gold and jade liking..HA!

After that, we went to catch a movie with the usual gang. Watched Accident by Louise Koo and Richie Ren. The story plot was so-so, but the whole movie is slow pace..making me feel like sleeping.. Not a bad movie to catch but totally NOT WORTH the weekend movie ticket price.

Our wedding plans updates...

I think we sort of settled a number of things. We've settled our:

But most importantly, our venue, is not really settled yet. We are still decided between 2 places. One with better food, one with better scenic view. We like both places..(Food or views?? Comments anyone??)

Weird..There is something wrong with my blogger. I cant change my font type, size or colour. I cant upload pics or any links. So weird..

Anyway, Sotong proposed yesterday.It was well, a funny incident. I found the gift (again). haha..I was up preparing for Yiru's wedding and the something rang. I was looking for it but I didnt know what I was looking for. My mind then only thought of shutting that bloody thing up to so that he and my sis wont be woken up by that sound. I thought that it might be his phone so i was searching his bag. I know its not my phone because I recognize my own alarm tone. I felt the vibration and ta da!! I found it! Sotong accidentally set the alarm on the phone he bought for me. Yes, its my N97 =).wahaha.. But its not done..

I told Sotong that I found the phone when he woke up, and he kept complaining that his plan are wasted. Then he used his phone to call the new phone (it has a prepaid card in it). The background shows 2 of the newly fixed gundam toy, one kneeling down on a knee, holding a ring, another standing up. He edited the pic with the words:"Will you marry me?" His profile pic: the proposal ring. Haha..so sweet..

Well, he though I saw the ring, but in fact I didnt. He planned this whole thing with his colleagues and my friends. He planned to proposed during our dinner time with Huiqi & Jason and Fred & Pabby at TCC in Keppel Bay. Haha.. But this proposal I wont forget, because both times, his plans failed.. A memorable one for sure.. =)

We've also signed our bridal studio with Jazz Bridal studio. hmm.. I think its not very expensive, just nice within our budget.

Went to Yiru's ROM yesterday morning at Furama Riverfront. So happy for her that she's now formally Mrs Chua =)

I though laxative are meant to react fast? I took mine since morning and only later in the evening, the effect starts to kick in. I'm not sure it is because its like that, or that Im really slow in reacting to meds/supplements.

Nono, I dont take them for slimming purposes, but I have severe constipation + piles. I lately bleed alot when I shit. So I need to soften my stools for easy exit. Think I really got to change my diet..have more veg and fruits.. Chilli does count isnt it? Haha..

~~Plan failed~~

I've ruined 2 suprises that Sotong planned to propose. But it wasnt totally my fault too.. Whahaha! Am I clever or what?

The first one he did was to cook the spagetthi wif Ba Teng for me. But I'm totally clueless about him wanting to propose. Yes, he bought flowers and make the whole atmosphere soo romantic, but I just thought that he wanted to celebrate our anniversary, thats all. We had a quarrel the previous day, so he sort of changed his plans and he told me his original plans. That when I know he planned to proposed. LOL. Call him stupid that he mentioned it, call me blur for not knowing whats going on until he said.

The second was yesterday. My hp was low batt so he told me to look for the charger in his drawer. Oh well, found the gift he wanted to use to propose. Wahaha!! I saw this Swarovski Crystal box in his drawer, so I opened it while asking him what is that. He just looked at me opening it. Now he blame me that he got to get another one because he cant re-use it. LOL

I told him to propose yesterday then, to save the trouble, he say no. So fine...Let's see what other suprises he can come up with without me knowing this time round. WAHAHAHA...

~~House-Shopping~

Been looking around for houses lately with Sotong and nope, we have not decide on where we wanna get. We are currently keeping our options really open, as in we do not have a specific location, type of housing (private or hdb, 3 rooms or 4 or 5..etc..). The only main thing that we are looking for is the location and the pricing of course.

We do not plan to get a car in the near future, so we got to get some where really convenient. And convenient meaning near to MRT and not having the need to take those feeder buses. Even for MRT, we are kinda limiting it to the east and west line, because of our working areas (currently or future)

We both are in the sort of specialised industry, so all our working areas are sort of in the west, and even further in the west, like Tuas. Since MRT is already up in Joo Khoon, so it would be super convenient if we can get a house at any of the stops along the east-west line.

Still looking but too wondering if its the right time. Sotong wants to go overseas to study. Maybe we should get it after he comes back?? Im just so confused..

Yesterday, Jillian came to pick me and Louise up from work. Louise wanted to eat Frolick Yogurt and I wanted to try it..hehe.. Its quite nice, especially the granola toppings. Crunchy and sweet. *drools* Sure to go back for more =)

I also met up with Ting to accompany her to have dinner. I had dinner at home. My mum cooked Maggie Mee, or rather fry the maggie mee.. I think I added too much chilli or that the chilli is spoilt. I bet its the double combo of above causes the Lao Sai.

I was already at the bus stop this morning on my way to work but I had to rush home to shit first as its coming out!! BTH. End up, I shitted till so late that I had to take a cab to work. duhz... $13 bucks worth of shit..

This morning, I was taking the same bus to work. My bus queue shifted from its original position as there were some renovations going on. a

After queueing for a while, there's this ~~FUGLY~~ 30-40+ Indian/Eurasian Lady, came up to me and ask:

"Is this the queue for bus 22?"

"yup"

"Does this bus goes to Paya Lebar?"

"Which part of Paya Lebar you want to go?"

" Does this bus goes to Upper Paya Lebar? This is what I'm asking.." This time, she sounded RUDE and demanding. WTF. You are asking for people's help and yet you are giving such lousy attitude?

"Ya!" And you've guess it. Not even a "thank you"!!

After a queueing a while, she demanded:

"Can you move in abit, its blocking people's way." Fugger. She's the one blocking people's way! I was already leaning against the railing, how much more she want me to move? So, I just moved a teeny weeny bit, just to please her.

"Can you move in abit more?" I moved another teeny weeny bit. Its as good as not moving. I didnt care about her.

Then, I was taking somethign out from my bag and accidentally hit her elbow. Then she said:
" I dont understand how come people just dont want to move in front".

And she went right to the front of the queue = Cutting queue. But since the guy in front of me never say anything, so Im fine. (Im initially 2nd in queue)

She waited quite long for the bus then she asked the guy in front:

"How come this bus is so slow? What time does this bus come normally? Is this the only bus that goes to Upper Paya Lebar?"

The guy answered her questions shortly and she kept quiet. Its lucky she didnt ask me because Im going to answer her: " I dont know. Go check the board yourself!" Shit, why didnt she ask me!! I hope she FALLS DOWN today. Bloody Idiot!

Went to watch Ice Age 3(3D) with Sotong, Louise, Jillian and her bf. Thumbs up for the story plot. But as for the 3D effects, it was kinda disappointing. No "WOW" effect at all. I didnt get the "close up" feel. The trailers they played was much better..

But the cute characters make the show enjoyable. Like...

This is a practical we will always remember. Though toughand tiring, but kinda fun too! A really great experience that we can never have in SG. We made cheese, butter and yogurt..I was in charge of Cheddar, so you will see most pics are on cheddar

Ever thought about how the most basic and common cheese(cheddar) is done? Here goes..

The pre mix of cheddar cheese which includes milk

Curd in whey after rennet is added..

Look like scramble egg isnt it?

Pour away the whey (This can me re-worked into another cheese, like the Gouda I've mentioned above..I think its Gouda la)

Shape the curd, seperate into halves..

Then into sixes...

It will harden abit, take it out, chop it into pieces.

Add salt..

Compact it into this dont know what thing..

Turn it really tight..and store for 24 hours..And it will take the shape of that thing..Round.. Yummy!! I love cheddar.. especially EXTRA SHARP!

Yesterday, We headed to MS after work for dinner at Xin Wang. Louise and Jillian + BF came with us. Satisfied my cravings my favourite noodles and milk tea.

We then headed to Suntec for the PC fair, but before that, we went to the CROCS sale in one of the ballrooms. We were queueing up to enter as there are alot of people. We got nearer and nearer to the entrance, and when we can see what's inside the room, the lights suddenly went off. We thought that there was a blackout. Apparently, I was leaning against the switch of the light, causing the darkness to come. But its not my fault hor... Its the person who designed the room. Haha..The person said so.. LOL

~~ Resignation~~

(With interesting moments to remember)

I've tendered my resignation. Happy to leave the co but cant bear to leave my operators. They are really a fantastic bunch of people.

Cheerful & young,
playful (at time which can really make me angry but can make me smile whole- heartedly too),
takes initiative (when they realise something is wrong, they tell me and not when i happen to find out),
helpful (esp when i needed their help).

I'm pretty sure that they dont do anything to the product to sabotage me. For the other group, Im not sure. I dont really care much either, because i'm leaving.

During my poly days, in the main committee of a club, my lecturer in charge always tell us: "The pillars of a building are the most important, it helps to keep the building stand. Without these pillars, the building would go "out of shape" and might even collapse."

Pillars of the company does not mean the top management, but the lowly paid workers - the operators. These are the people that are doing the work, as in MANUALLY doing the work. Without them, the company can might as well close down.

We always have to look after the lowest of the lowest in the co, as they are the most important people. They might not be easy to teach, their culture might be different from ours, their working style and attitude might not be right but they are still human. We got to treat them like one, and not like dogs or cows.

There's one time when I was so angry with one of the supervisors at my co, he called one of the China operators : "OEI!!", and the guy did not respond. The supervisor then commented that this guy have a problem with his attitude. I asked him why he call people like that and say they got attitude when they didnt even know he's calling them. .

He can even tell me: " Then what you want me to call him? Call him Sir?"

I told him off: " People got name right? And you dont even bother to know people's name and still dare say people got attitude??"

He kept quiet. He knew he was in the wrong and maybe thought that I was too bitchy to bother about something that wasnt my business. He was here in this co for over a year, till today, he still cannot be bothered to know each of the operator's name. He only know his favourites'.

"Production is KING." Liz, my Aussie lecturer would always say. I totally agree. You treat them well enough, no worries about sabotaging and that's ONE major worry gone.

Lately, I've been quite angry with one of the supervisor that came down from JB to help out with cleanliness of the production and warehouse. This guy came into my room, opened ALL the drawers and cupboard in my room without my permission and keep asking me questions like: " What is this? what is that? Who's is it? If its not yours, why dont you throw?". The wrong thing he did is to bother me while I'm super busy with my stuffs.

I was soooo damn irritated by him that I asked him in a rude tone: " Why are you here (in my co) for?"

" To look after the cleanliness of the warehouse and production"

" Then why dont you go in there and do instead of coming to my room and disturb me?"

" If its such a small room I cannot handle, how to handle such a big area?"

" But THAT's your priority, production and warehouse, NOT my room, right?"

" I thought you were sent over here because you are good in that??" (sarcastically). He looked shocked then he started to change the topic.

" How long have you been here?" He asked.

" What? How long? For what you want to know? If you really want to know, go ask HR la."

" I dont know how come you can be here, Your attitude is very bad."

" My attitude is bad ONLY towards YOU." I said angrily and he walked out.

WTF! You come into my room, disturb me while I'm busy and still say I got bad attitude. I've never quarrelled with ANYONE in this Company, you can go around asking people! The only people I scold in office are the production workers when they are really naughty. For fug I shout at you if you dont disturb me in the first place? Mad..

The 2nd thing he did was a funny one. He came into my room, took the whole file shelfing away and placed all the files into the new cupboard I've just bought. It was an empty cupboard with locks so that I can keep confidential and sensitive documents in there. But the shelves came in when I was soo busy doing QC testings and QA documentations at the same time, and I did not have time to transfer them.

He took the shelves and put it at the warehouse areas to keep their files. I was so shock beacuse its such a BIG thing and they actually took it out without telling me! It belong's to QA dept hor!!

I kept quiet and pretended nothing happen. I did not confront them asking them why they took it on that day but I went around complaining. It was really a funny situation la. I was telling the operators about it, they all laughed because its a BIG thing lei!! They then say: "Ok! Never mind, We'll help you bring it back later!"

The next morning, it was back in my room at its original state, files in there and other important files in the new cupboard as well! I locked the cupboard up and kept the keys. =)

The supervisor came in wanting to do something else, he looked shocked that the cupboard was back in my room. He asked me:" Eh? How come this is over here?"

" Oh, you know that this is suppose to be here in the first place?"

" Ya, but I've moved it out yesterday." Still having the shocked look.

" Ya, I brought it back into my room and do you know that its very rude for you to take other people's thing without their permission?"

" Ya i know, but you are busy what.." Still can tell me you know! Pui!!

" Ya, I busy, but this cupboard belongs to QA, not warehouse or production. So you should still ask me right?"

" Yes, I know I should ask you, but I need it urgently."

" Oh, if you need it urgently, you can go raise a PR and order one, it will be here within 3 days."

I was thinking to myself: Please la, how urgent can a shelf be? Its for files lei, and the files has been there since beginning of this year. And the best thing, till TODAY, no shelves are ordered. Urgent? Ha! My foot!

He then keep commenting on how bad my attitude is, etc.. Like as if I care how you look at me because You Fugging Idiot are wrong in the first place.

I then added on:" Do you know that if you were to asked me to give your the shelves yesterday, I would have given it to you?"

" Oh is it? Then if I were to ask you today, will you give it to me?"

" Of course not, why should I?"

" ya da ya da ya da..." Then here goes the "attitude problem" topic again..Didnt bother to listen much to him also, so I didnt know what he was talking.

Every single day that I'm still here, I'm not going to let you take advantage of me! Dont think just because my title is a Lab Tech and you are a Supervisor, I have to respect you. If you want my respect, Respect me first! Just dont understand how come people can abuse their authority so much. I believe in: " What goes around, comes around." I dont care what you say or do behind my back, because in future, some one will do the same thing back to you, and you wont know when..

Anyway, on the night before I went to KL, I went over to Sotong's place. This sweet boy planned a suprise for me. A candle light dinner =)

He cooked my favourite 五香肉丁 with spaghetti, with grapefruit,strawberry and birdnest champange drink and of course Birdnest cum chrysanthemum for dessert.

Not to forget, he gave me a bouquet of purple tulips, my fav colour and flower, 2 in 1. =)

No pics, because I never expect this to come, and my stupid phone's camera sucks. So no pics for this memorable moment.. sad..

The next day.... (01-03 May)

KL was so-so. Nothing much to shop, only stories to share.

1) Our dearest XY got married to her hubby and went on honeymoon the following monday. Nope, she do not know where she's going, as her hubby wants it to be a suprise for her. She will only know on the day se reaches the airport. so sweet =D

2) Ernie, the new Tai Zi, actually did 2 things that we will never forget.. The story begins..

On the first night, we (Cher, Ernie, William, Fong Fei, Li Jie, Sotong and me) played some games. Ms Neo and her friends joined us for a while but went back to the hotel as it was getting late. Sotong slept quite early and so the rest of us, excluding li Jie finished the whole bottle of Chivas we bought in KLIA DFS. We played true or dare and discovered many new secrets of each other, but what ever is on the table is left there. No other secrets should leave.

Anyway, Ernie drank quite abit and he got SUPER high. I believe he got a hangover he next day and when he woke up, he went to the toilet. Me and sotong were in the living room, watching tv.

Then suddenly, we heard a LOUD BANG, followed by some sound of water running and foot steps. So we knew Ernie is fine, and we continued to watch TV. The he came out from the toilet and we asked him what happened. He said the toilet bowl cover (the part where you flush) broke. Apparently, he was trying to fill up the water so that he can flush faster, (the stupid toilet bowl wasnt working well since the day we moved in) and he dropped it. It broke into pieces.

No room services, so the cleaners didnt get to check. We managed to check out without being charged. =X

On the second night, Ernie drank again. This time, we ended much earlier as all of us were tired as we had a long day. This guy woke up 4 hours later to vomit, he vomitted in the room, on the carpet and the BEST part: he opened he window and vomitted down -_-""

We stayed on the 7th storey by the way. Thank goodness it was raining when he vomitted and below, there is like a shelter, so no one kena his vomit. Terrible but it was funny though. haha..

03 May night..

My production supervisor went to pick me and sotong up from the airport after we came back from KL. He sent us back home to drop our stuffs and then bring us to Somerset MRT to meet up with our operators. We've all arranged to meet to have dinner at Sakura Buffet. Only 16 of us were there and the bill was split among the 2 of us. We wanted to treat the opeators as they've worked so hard for the STUPID rush delivery due to some STUPID IDIOT'S mistake. All of them worked till so late and tired. Its ok to give them good treats once in a while. Most of them are from china, and they are here to earn $$. We know they wont be spending such $$ for good food.. Some of them younger them me even have their own family to feed..

06 - 07 May

Attended the HACCP Internal Auditor course these 2 days organised by TUV SUD PSB. It was fun, got t know a number of people. There isnt alot of people in the class, I thought it was good as the trainer can give us more attention, easier to learn this way.

The trainer just so happened to be Eunice's ex boss. Me and Lijie find her very familiar initally but couldnt remember where we've seen her before. Then during break time, she same up to me and asked if we've met. Ha!! Then we realised that when Liz (our favourite aussie lecturer from RMIT) came over to SG for hols, she was there to send her back too. So we met at the airport! And she also recognised me as Sotong's girlfriend because she knew him during Eunice's wedding.
World so small..

The course was at Furama River Front hotel, and beside our room, there is a training course by Asia Pacific Brewery ---> you know, the Tiger beer company..

And I saw Hui Guang!! The guy i used to like during sec school days. During secondary, I was more brave and crazy la, so that time, i remember I went up to know him and also i did tell him before that I like him. mad la.. Those were the days. We seldom keep in touch. the last time i met up with him is when GP and I broke up. That was almost 3 years ago. Haa..So long liao..

08 May

Organised to meet up with Ting and the rest, but sadly, only Aimei and Me are able to make it, so we just went ahead to meet up with Ting. Hui say she tired, Fion got to study for exams and Hq say her eyes got infection, but nvm, HQ, you can read updates about Ting over here..hehe..

Her tummy getting bigger liao, she say she sometimes can feel her baby kicking her. No names in her mind yet. Ting wants to go 算 her baby chinese name but that is after she gives birth. Christian name, she said she didnt want anything complicated like Pheobe, because she dont know how to pronounce. haha..

Darren still wont be coming for good, the only thing he can do is to try to come back once a month. His mum seems ok with Ting having a baby girl.. Just treated Ting normally, not those extremely nice la.. So far, she seems happy la, so still not that bad..hehe..

Went to Bugis with Sotong, walked around Iluma, the new shopping centre there, but totally boring. nothing to shop/see/buy. Dont think we'll go there again. Boring.

Went over to Sim Lim and I got an MP5!! Those china brands are really much cheaper. Mine is 4GB and its $99. Able to add Micro SD card into it for external memory too. Basic functions la, but I like because its cheap, hugh memory and also, its slim. I was soo tempted to buy the fake I-phone look alike lo!! Its sooo cheap and cute!

I used to not even look at these phones.. that time, my supervisor said something that really make sense.. when we buy a phone, we pay like $500 + for 1 and when we wanna trade in, its like only worth $100, there goes our $400+. So might as well just buy a $100+ mobile and we can even change it every year. It too contains the function of the basic phone, and additional functions like TV. Maybe my next phone would be something that cheap too..

I saw alot of lappies, those small and very light plus portable ones. I like the size, the colour and most importantly, its Windows XP! My current is Vista, hate it to the core. Its giving me sooo many problems. Want to sell it off but it only worths about $400? I bought it at 2k plus.. *heartache*

Those that i saw are quite affordable, less than $800. I'm going to wait for the IT fair this coming June, to see if its cheaper or maybe more freebies? heh heh.. In the meantime, I'm going to find a way to get rid of my retarded PINK Vaio Lappie.. *evil grins*

~~Happy, still hoping~~

Typed a post, but it was deleted. Duhz.. Anyway, I had a shocked this morning. One of my favourite operator who came back from MC told me something that made my legs went soft. Now, I'm just hoping that everything is ok.

My eye lid is almost back to normal =) I dont feel a thing when I blink, so my contacts are on again..heh heh heh...

Its going to be the most hectic week I've ever worked in my whole working experience. Yes i know, its still a long way to go before I can experience something else. Anyway, The whole week, I need to tahan till I go KL on Friday to attend our AKUYU QUEEN'S wedding =)

Time really flies. It was last year when her Brian proposed to her and next week, she's formally going to be 许太. Hehe.. and Brian is going to upgrade his status to be AKUYU KING. Really happy for them =D

~~ At work~~

Just to clarify, its not that I have nothing to do at work, its just that I need a little time to de-stress. Having a slight headache and have been coughing since last week. Drowing myself with herbal tea that my dearest bought for me, but its not enough. Panadol extra is in my bag just in case my headache becomes unbearable. I think I am able to claim day off because I work on sat and sun. I wanna take a day on the following week after I come back from KL. Seriously, I need a break.

I feel irritated today because of my eye lid. Every time i blink my eye, i can feel it. Nope, not pain or itchy. It just feel uncomfy, its feels like something is there. Actually, its a little painful when i press it. Got to wear specs to work due to long hours, I dont want to tired my eyes. My operators keep laughing at me wearing specs, saying they "kan bu shuang". duhz...

Haiz, beary tired... *yawnz*

~~Stoning~~

Terrible. Stoning now. My right eye lid is now swollen. Too heaty I think. Worked till 5am last night. I've never worked for consecutively for 21 hours and had to go back to work at 9. Basically, I just slept for 2 hours plus and here I am, back at work. Too tired to have lunch though its lunch time now. Got to send some samples out before going back home.

Ok, I'm really stoning now.gotta prepare to leave. *yawnz*

Updates: Nothing much happened actually. The most irritating thing that happened to me is my stupid blog. The whole damn background was gone! Had to wait for the mood to start finding new blog skins before thinking of blogging. Sickening.
